Being at a birth is something magical, something you never forget.
This was the first time I was on call for a birth, and it gave me a few weeks of nervous excitement and having my phone attached to my hand at all times.
When Lorel texted me in the evening of July 13, I was ready to go.
It was a very rainy night, but we still got to take a walk outside her house. You would probably never tell she was in labor until the early morning hours, when baby Dana made her entrance into the world.
It was an immense honor watching her being born surrounded by so much love.
